Our Stadium Vision
The stadium complex will expand upon the transformative improvements completed with the installation of a brand-new track and turf field in 2021. The new surfaces have already brought new energy to our athletics program and given our students access to facilities comparable to those of their opponents. The second phase of improvements will include the addition of:
Stadium fieldhouse with team rooms and ADA-accessible restrooms
Concessions and adjoining seating area
Press box with multimedia studio
Additional bleachers
Gated enclosure
Upgraded sound system and lighting
Project Timeline
The groundbreaking ceremony was held in May 2024. Currently, projections suggest that the project will be completed for the spring athletics season in 2025.
Project History
With a pledged commitment from our leading donor, Carl Asplundh, Jr. to provide critical funding to jumpstart this project, our district partnered with Beers and Hoffman Architects to design the concept for our future stadium complex. The design's most prominent component is a fieldhouse equipped with a concession stand/equipped kitchen, restrooms, and team rooms. These components will be connected by a breezeway and dining area, where students, families, and community members will be able to view both our stadium field and the fields below. A press box, bearing the name of beloved community member Pop-Pop Heath, will also be built to enable coaches new views of their teams in action and to assist with capturing game footage. Our fundraising efforts continued to include donations from key corporate sponsors, a Stadium Soiree event made possible by River House at Odette's, and contributions from individuals whose names will be recognized on plaques and bricks in our future stadium. In total, approximately $1.2 Million in philanthropic funds have been donated, which will be matched by the district for a stadium complex estimated to cost $2.5 Million.
