About the Board
The New Hope-Solebury Board of School Directors is a legislative body whose authority is defined by the Pennsylvania School Code. The Board’s function is to provide oversight to ensure a thorough and efficient education for the children of its District and to develop policies to support meeting this objective. School Directors, although locally elected, are in essence state officials designated by school law to oversee the administration of the school system in each district of the Commonwealth.
The Superintendent is selected by the School Board to administer the operation of the schools in accordance with Board policies. The Superintendent, a non-voting member of the Board, is both educational advisor to the School Board and chief administrator of the School District.
The Board of School Directors invites parents and citizens to volunteer in the schools. Service on one or more of a number of district committees is encouraged.
Please Note: The Board President or Superintendent will respond to any communications directed to the Board of School Directors.
