Reading Olympics
The Bucks County Reading Olympics (New Hope-Solebury Middle School Teams)
Students work in a team of up to 12 students to read through 25 books in preparation for a competition in April. At our meetings, we play mock rounds, where questions from each of the books are asked and points are scored. This is a fun way to prepare for the actual event.
Teams need to decide on a team name and T-shirt design for competition night. During the night of the competition, each team will play 3 rounds with 40 questions per round. When the opposing team (from another Bucks County school) answers incorrectly, our team will have an opportunity to steal the point.Competitions are held at Bucks County schools and take place in the evening.
